ProxyNest Privacy Policy

Last updated 28 October 2026

ProxyNest is a Chrome extension that manages and switches the proxy servers you add to it.

What stays in your browser

Your proxies (addresses, usernames and passwords), groups, per-site rules, settings and check results are stored only in your browser with chrome.storage.local. ProxyNest has no server and no account. We do not collect, sell or share your browsing history, and there are no analytics or ads.

Proxy logins

When a proxy you added asks for a login, ProxyNest answers with the username and password you saved for that proxy. They are sent only to that proxy server.

Services contacted when you run a check

Checks run only when you press Check, import with “Check after import” on, or run the leak test:

Browser settings ProxyNest changes

ProxyNest sets Chrome’s proxy settings for your profile and, if you choose, Chrome’s WebRTC IP handling policy. Choosing “Direct”, disabling or uninstalling the extension returns them to normal.

License keys and payments

ProxyNest Pro is sold through Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, which collects your email and payment details at checkout under its own privacy policy. When you paste a license key, ProxyNest sends it to api.lemonsqueezy.com to activate and periodically validate it, and stores the key, plan name and purchase email in your browser. The start date of the 7-day free trial is saved in Chrome sync storage so reinstalling does not reset it.

Removing your data

Delete proxies in the manager, use “Remove key from this browser” under Plan, or uninstall the extension to delete everything it stored.
